| The AutoXray AXR4000 is a EZ-SCAN 4000 OBD II Code Scanner. The AutoXray EZ-Scan AXR4000 is an OBD-II scanner which includes all OBD-II protocols, including the newly released Controller Area Network (CAN) protocol, allowing for more capability and flexibility to manage the diagnostic process. The CAN protocol is currently being used in a variety of vehicles and will be the mandated protocol in all new vehicles by 2008. This tool is compatible with all 1996 and newer vehicles and also works on the 1994 and 1995 OBD II compatible vehicles. Staying current with the very latest in automotive scanning doesn't have to be a complex effort. The CAN-compliant EZ-Scan makes keeping up with the latest a simple matter. It displays on screen DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) and code definitions for OBD-II generic codes, OBD-II manufacturer specific codes and upgradeable to display OBD-I codes. Supports multiple trouble code requests like generic codes, pending codes and enhanced codes. It has a vehicle coverage of GM 96 - Current Year (OBD-II), Ford 96 - Current Year (OBD-II), Chrysler 96 - Current Year (OBD-II), Toyota 96 - Current Year (OBD-II), Honda 96 - Current Year (OBD-II), NISSAN 96- Current Year (OBD-II) and All other Asian and European 96 - Current Year (OBD-II). The reader has some other functions like data save, auto off, flash updateable applications and a durable spill proof membrane keypad.
